Diagnose the path, not the symptom.

First use

1. Confirm your interface language and shortcut during first setup. Option+D is the default.
2. Follow the in-app explanation to allow shortcut selection access.
3. Return to another app, select text, and press the shortcut.

The shortcut does not show a card

• Open GlossPeek Settings and confirm the shortcut is registered.
• Use Check Again in Selection Access. A system request happens only after you press the visible primary action.
• Confirm the frontmost app can copy the selection and that it is not password or secure-input content.
• You can also use “Look Up with GlossPeek” from an app's Services menu.

Clipboard behavior

The shortcut requests one targeted Copy. If you or another app changes the clipboard during the transaction, GlossPeek does not overwrite that newer content with an old snapshot.

Languages and translation

The interface language, current-card source language, and translation target stay independent. Apple Translation may require a system-managed language pack; unsupported pairs appear as local card feedback.

Uninstall

1. Quit GlossPeek.
2. Move GlossPeek from Applications to Trash.
3. To remove local Wordbook and History data, clear them in GlossPeek Settings before uninstalling.
4. To remove system permission, remove GlossPeek in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
